Packaging & Unboxing
Enermax’s Platimax D.F. comes in a black box with a picture of the power supply inside covering half of the box. The model and wattage plus some features take up the rest.
The rear of the box is dominated by features, but a chart showing cables and connectors, as well as a specifications table round it out.
The top edge of the box looks very similar to the front.
“This is a computer power supply”. Just in case you were confused, Enermax lets you know what you have in more than a dozen languages.
Inside you find a red-topped box and a large block of foam. A small manual lays on top.
Under the top half of the foam, you find the power supply wrapped in a cloth bag.
Inside the man box, you only get three items, another box that looks similar to the larger one, the power supply itself and the manual.
Inside the smaller box is a bag of cables, the power cord, some cable combs, zip ties, Velcro wraps, mounting screws, a sticker and even a plug clip to keep the cord plugged in if accidentally tugged on.
The Velcro wraps have Enermax’s logo and slogan on all eight of them,
The cable combs come in two sizes, a 10 wire, and an 8 wire. You get quite a few of each.
On all of the combs, there are little clips on each end.
This lets the combs chain together however the end user wants or needs to manage their own cables.
