A Closer Look
The business end of the FLIR ONE PRO includes the camera area with the thermal sensor and visible camera. An adjustment knob is accessible from both sides of the module and the FLIR logo rounds out this side.
The back of the module that will normally face you has only the adjustment knob and FLIR logo stamped into the case.
The top of the module includes the phone/tablet connection, USB type-C in this case, the model and part numbers, and some information.
The bottom of the module includes the USB type-C charging port, and a power button with central LED status indication.
The entire assembly is quite small, measuring just under 2 ¾ inches wide.
The module is quite thin but will be thicker than many bare flagship phones at around 9/16th of an inch thick.
At less than 1 3/8th inches tall plus the connector, the entire system will not add much length to your phone or tablet.
The carry case is pretty small, and mostly a hard-sided case that zips closed. We have no doubts it will stand up to the rigors of being in the field or on a job site for years to come.
The carry case included is quite nice. The FLIR ONE PRO sits down in a foam holder, while a pouch on the other side holds the charging cable and any other small items you might need.
The unique OneFit connector is a really nice touch. The camera attachment can sit flush with your phone whether you run your device unprotected or with a case. The OneFit connector can extend and retract nearly the length of the USB plug itself to match up to your device without having to remove your protective case.
Simply rotating the blue colored OneFit adjustment knob moves the plug in and out.
