Packaging and Unboxing

The Strix GTX 1080 comes in a large semi-matte black box with a picture of the video card lit in orange. The Strix logo is quite predominant in a rainbow of color.

The back box is very colorful and easy to read. Some of the more exciting features are shown.

There is a Strix labeled box inside the outer box.

Upon opening, we’re greeted with an envelope surrounded my dense dark colored foam tray.

The envelope contains a utility disk and manual.

Under the foam tray is the Strix GTX 1080 in an ESD bag along with the remaining accessories.

The final accessories are a dual 6-pin PCI-E to single 8-pin CPI-E adaptor and a pair of ROG branded hook and loop cable wraps.

Once out of the protective ESD bag we find the Strix GTX 1080 is protected with various covers/plugs for the slot fingers and graphics ports.

Protective film covers all the areas that are more likely to get warn of scratched during shipment.
