Final Thoughts & Conclusion
The RTX 2060 Super brings a lot of welcome upgrades from the original RTX 2060 such as the increased memory and additional CUDA cores, which makes the new RTX 2060 Super a true 1440p beast. Gigabyte’s RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC doesn’t stop there, it adds Gigabyte’s WINDFORCE 3X cooler system, an all-metal backplate and an extra 6-pin power connector, which made it the top dog with the other RTX 2060 Super’s we have tested.
Out of the box, we see the additional cooling and power come into play making the Gaming OC hitting an impressive boost clock of 1955MHz during our Heaven benchmark. This boost clock helped the Gaming OC top the leader boards among the RTX 2060 Supers in many of our Synthetic and Gaming benchmarks. Even with top scores in our stock benchmarks, we managed to unlock an additional 10% performance during our overclocking session. The Gaming OC was able to do something no other RTX 2060 Super card has done and cracking the 10K mark in Timespy with a total score of 10169.
Aesthetically, the Gaming OC has a great simplistic design with neutral colors making it easy to match almost any build. Also, if you’re a fan of RGB, the Gaming OC does contain an RGB lit Gigabyte badge on its side just adding enough pop to the card’s sleek look.
The RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC is an amazing card in both performance/looks and would be a welcome addition to any build looking to play in 1080p/1440p.
Excellent job, Gigabyte!
