It’s no secret that NVidia’s 1000 series, Pascal GPUs has been one of the most exciting launches in recent history. Like many other major GPU launches, availability was scarce and limited to the reference, or “Founders Edition” cards. Well, this is no longer the case. The board partners are finally releasing cards their own versions of the both the GTX 1080 and 1070. Cards with additional 6 and 8 pin power adapters, beefed up power delivery, custom PCBs and custom coolers. One such company is MSI, whose Twin Frozr VI cooler provides some of the best air cooling on the market today. The MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING 8G was one of the first board partner cards to feature a custom PCB, and the difference shows.
