Testing Environment

For our test bed, we chose our X299 ASRock Killer SLI/AC with Intel I7 8700K overclocked to 5GHz, we can squeeze a little more out of our well-heeled CPU but 5GHz is pretty substantial and a bit safer than 5.2GHz at the cost of excessive added voltage. We are using Windows 10 Professional with all updates applied and updating disabled and the internet disabled to prevent any background internet communications skewing results. Games with built-in benchmarks we use the benchmarks, those without benchmarks we use 3 Fraps runs from the same save point using the same extended macro running the entire test. Tests are run 3 times and the average reported here.
